Ron Mayhew, my Florida photography mentor, and I went to a nearby pottery farm where pots are so plentiful it appears they grow right out of the ground. Tall pots, squat pots, pigment lush pots, painted pots…all gather in rows or stand alone, waiting for a passerby or potential customer to notice (or salute) each and every one.

Just look at those colors. The image with the bamboo is striking. The pot is just waiting for that clump to jump in.:)
All are lovely but I especially like the second one.
Do you think we look pretty weird out there, Ron…squatting down with our noses pressed close to a piece of pottery?
Probably looks pretty weird to most, but perfectly normal to me. 🙂
How strange we are…..
How fortunate you are to have Ron as your mentor. His photos are always so stunning. Love your pottery captures. 🙂
Yes, I agree. Ron is a wonderful “little brother” for me….and a fine photog. Both he and his wife are special in my heart.
Don’t be talking behind my back now.
